KickBoxing Club
Last season was very successful for the Kickboxing Club. Many new members joined the club and enjoyed the benefits of learning a Martial art. The club can represent the college in many tournaments in both male and female divisions. Over the last few years many members have competed with distinction at the Irish Open and gone on to representative honours on successful Irish Teams. This year the club hopes to get bigger and better.
Classes are held in St. Maelruains Hall twice a week. Sign up on clubs and societies day and keep an eye on the notice board for training times. World Champion Michelle and husband Wayne Maher are our Instructors. The Club placed 2nd at the 2003/2004 Intervarsities and are to host this competition in 2004/2005.
