CREATE Funding
CREATE members have (over the past 10 years) secured over €3.5 M in recurrent funding from a number of national and international sources such as PRDSP Strand 1, Technological Sector Research Strand III, EU Marie Curie Programme, IRCSET, Environmental Protection Agency - STRIVE Programme, Enterprise Ireland – Commercialisation fund, Applied Research Enhancement Programme, HEA PRTLI Cycle 2 and 4. A number of these have represented firsts for the Institute such as the Marie Curie funding under the EU 6th Framework in 2005, IRCSET award in Chemistry in 2006 and Enterprise Ireland AREP funding in Dec. 2005. In addition Dr. Dempsey was a core member of the team which led the successful PRTLI Cycle 4 Centre of Applied Science for Health ITT Dublin application in collaboration with partners at NUI Maynooth, DCU and AMNCH.
