Visit to Strasbourg 22-24 Feb 2005
The field trip to Strasbourg took place from February 22nd to 24th 2005 and was part-financed by the European Commission. Staff and students stayed in comfortable accommodation, located in the centre of the University town of Strasbourg and capital of Alsace.
Strasbourg, a WorldHeritageCity is the seat of the Council of Europe and meeting place of the European Parliament and is a charming city full of historic and cultural attractions which we visited during our time there. The highlight of the field trip was the visit to the European Parliament, where we were welcomed by Ms Sarah Shiel and MEP Mr. Sean O´Neachtain.
